Services
We offer the following Physical Therapy Services and Techniques
Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT)
Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is a highly researched and evidence-rich technique within physical therapy that accurately pinpoints both a diagnosis and a treatment through the well-ordered evaluation process. As a Certified MDT therapist, I have complete and ongoing training in this method. Research shows that properly using MDT techniques, a physical therapy episode can be diminished from 2-3 visits per week for 6-8 weeks down to 6-8 visits within about a month. This saves you time and money! See here for more information.
Manually Facilitated Motion
A delicious experience fully clothed - allow your therapist to teach your brain what your body and specific joints are capable of and what properly organized movement feels like. When struggling with a new movement skill after injury, or to relearn well-established habits.
Can be incorporated into a treatment session for both outpatient therapy clients and class participants.
Manual Lymph Drainage Massage
Certification through the Manual Lymph Drainage Institute ensures best practices and most up-to-date techniques. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) can increase lymph flow by 10x and reduce swelling/edema, bruising, pain and scarring after injury or surgery. (Joint replacements, breast cancer surgeries, plastic and bariatric surgeries).

Recommended for chronic extremity edema with or without wounds present to reduce limb size and prepare for proper fitting and use of an edema garment.
Kinesiotaping
Supports soft tissue changes initiated by IASTM, provides biofeedback for joint movement and position, facilitates fluid flow under the tissues to reduce bruising and inflammation, and feels supportive. Can also be used for lymphatic system stimulation to reduce swollen limbs.
Orthopedic Movement Classes
Proven principles of Feldenkrais, Yoga and Martial Arts are incorporated in this unique system that helps you discover your body’s needs, promote proper alignment, create balance and symmetry in all planes, and increase efficiency, ease and comfort in all activities thus reducing repetitive movement injuries.
Classes, which are 90-minutes long, can be scheduled individually or in a group.Inquire about our current group class schedule.
Instrument-Augmented Mobilization
Also known as Graston, ASTYM, or IASTM, instrument-augmented soft tissue mobilization just refers to using a tool made of natural material to aid in myofascial release.
The tool allows your therapist to more accurately feel where soft tissue restrictions reside as well as providing effective stimulus to re-order the tissue.
Manual Therapy
Techniques include soft and deep tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, myofascial release (IASTM), and Manually Facilitated Motion.
